A survey by the automatic toll payment company Sem Parar among its customer base in the state of São Paulo shows that 33% of those traveling plan to hit the road before the start of Carnival, already on Thursday (16).
According to the company, traveling in advance may impact the flow of state highways earlier than expected. Anticipation is attributed to the home office.
Friday is still the preferred day for travel for 37% of respondents and Saturday for 21%.
Still according to the survey, 42% of respondents have not taken the road at Carnival since 2020, when the pandemic began.
The survey was carried out by Sem Parar between January 26th and February 10th, with more than 1,370 customers of the company in the state.
When choosing destinations, 35% say they will travel to the interior of the state and 34% will go to the coast, while another 5% mention Rio de Janeiro.
