The first round of the program injected BRL 500 million to promote discounts of BRL 2,000 to BRL 8,000 on new vehicles. This Wednesday (28), the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC) confirmed to g1 that it will promote a new round of credit. Details for expanding the resources allocated to the project are still being finalized. The panel drawn up by the folder shows that manufacturers have already requested R$ 420 million in tax credits from the R$ 500 million available. Still according to the MDIC panel, the benefits granted for passenger transport vehicles reached R$ 140 million, and for cargo transport, R$ 100 million. According to the MDIC, so far, the authorized credits have been divided as follows: FCA Fiat Chrysler: R$ 170 million; Volkswagen: BRL 60 million Renault: BRL 50 million; Peugeot Citroën: BRL 40 million; Hyundai: BRL 40 million; General Motors: BRL 20 million; Nissan: BRL 20 million; Honda: BRL 10 million; Toyota: BRL 10 million.
