The new song, “Better Place”, is part of the soundtrack for the upcoming film “Trolls 3 – Together Again”. The quintet, formed by Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone and Lance Bass, ended activities in 2002. “Better Place” evokes the sound of the boy band, an icon between the 1990s and 2000s. The five members sing a section and the chorus is carried by Timberlake. In early September, they officially reunited on stage at MTV’s Video Music Awards to present the award for best pop video, a category won by Taylor Swift. In her speech, the singer asked the group if they planned to do any projects together. Days later, Timberlake announced that the quintet was in the studio, publishing a behind-the-scenes video of the recording. “When the stars align… I got my brothers back together in the studio to work on something fun and the energy was special,” the post’s caption reads.
