New ecological trail in Gramado will open in the first half of this year

Gramado is one of the most popular destinations in the Serra Gaúcha for hiking in the middle of the native forest, transforming the trip into a moment of reflection and integration with the local ecosystem. In this sense, Wyndham Gramado Termas Resort & Spa will launch, by the end of the first half of this year, an exclusive ecological tourism trail through the development’s conservation area.

The structure of the Wyndham Gramado Termas Resort & Spa was built on just 13% of the 220,000 square meter land, preserving the local ecosystem. “With the project already approved by the city hall and environmental agencies, we started to open the route. The walk will be 600 meters long, leading to a small waterfall on the property. The visits will be guided by an employee, with scheduled times”, explains the general manager of the Wyndham, Marc Balanger. He points out that, for the feasibility of this initiative, an initial investment of R$ 100,000 is foreseen.

Even though it is restricted to hotel users, the manager guarantees that the tour must have a significant audience, as the resort, opened in 2019, “has more than 7,400 quotaholders, guaranteeing a significant turnover of the 464 rooms throughout the year ”. In addition, the network’s more than 75 million members worldwide can also come and discover the beauties of the place, making an ecological exchange.

According to Balanger, concern for the environment has been present since the cornerstone of the project. Following the Green Building concept, it was the first in the Hortênsias Region to invest in this international certification, ensuring that the entire construction process and subsequent operation are sustainable.

Among the ecologically correct technologies used, emphasis is placed on landscaping with vegetation adapted to the microclimate, reuse of rainwater in toilets and irrigation, high-performance showers and faucets, items that reduce water consumption, presence sensors in all areas indoor condominiums and provision of natural lighting in almost all environments, reducing energy consumption.

Other ecological attractions

Garden Park Gramado – In an extensive area of ​​138 thousand square meters, the park idealized by entrepreneur André Tissot was conceived, designed and executed for three decades. The site has more than 100,000 trees, such as native species, araucaria, ipês, cedars. The Garden has 23 attractions, including paths of azaleas, lavender, a tunnel of roses, oak trees, pencil bridges, among others. In all, there are four kilometers of trails, which lead to different points of the attraction.

Foot of the Cascade Explorer – The tour allows you to see the waterfall from a different angle. The guided trail allows you to listen to the sound of the waterfall, the Arroio Caracol and the birds, feel the aromas of the native forest and the wind, the dew and the drops of water.

Tomasini Park – Outdoor space with activities such as zip lines, pedal boats, horseback riding, go-karts, a restaurant, shop and Mina (walk through more than 80 meters of underground tunnels that give the feeling of being in a real mine).

Le Jardin – The place remains in bloom all year round and also has a shop, flower production greenhouse and a bistro. The property of more than 4 hectares located right at the entrance of Gramado also exhibits several exotic plants and new species in Brazil.

Pine Park – With an area of ​​133 hectares, the site is an environmentally rich area intended for environmental conservation and contemplation of water courses, fauna and vegetation. There is the possibility of hiking, chimarrão and picnic in the free circulation areas.
