NCT 127 ‘melts’ by the heat of Brazilian fans and promises to return: ‘they are hot’

The South Korean group NCT 127 held, this Friday, their third and final show in the city of São Paulo on their Neo City — The Link tour. Admired by the public’s energetic reaction, called “hot” at every moment of interaction with the NCTzens (name of the fandom), the eight members who came to the country promised to return in the next world tour.

— This is my first visit to Brazil, but thanks to you I’m super excited. So really, really, thank you. Look, and we’ll see you, without fail, in the next one. I love you – said Mark in the closing speech of the show.

In Jaehyun’s speech, he also concluded with “I’ll see you again”, after having declared his love to fans in Portuguese, with “I love you” and “I love you”.

Following the speeches, Taeyong emphasized that the group intends to return to Brazil.

— As your energy is so hot, let’s go next time here in Brazil to meet in a bigger place — he said, ending with “thank you” and “I love you”.

After the event, Jaehyun used Instagram to post a selfie in Stories where he wrote over it: “BRAZIL You are hot”, reinforcing the perception that he and the other members had of Brazilian NCTzens during the three shows.

As Doyoung said on the day of the first show in SP, on Wednesday, the screams of the Brazilians were the loudest he had ever heard in his life. The statement was said in Korean and translated by an interpreter and has had repercussions on social media.

Composed of nine members, only Haechan is not participating in the events, due to health reasons, as explained by the agency that manages the group, SM Entertainment.

Idols Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo and Mark arrived in São Paulo earlier this week and attended a press conference on Tuesday. His first performance in the city of São Paulo took place on Wednesday, at the Vibra São Paulo space. The group returned for other shows at the same point on Thursday and Friday. Apparently, the affection received by the Brazilian NCTzens left everyone with a taste of “I want more”. In addition to having said that they will return, they also emphasized that they intend to perform in places with greater structure.

In the venue, lit by the green glow of the light sticks, NCT 127 started the show with a three-hit sequence: “Kick it”, “Lemonade” and “Cherry Bomb”. In the midst of moments of interaction with the public, in which they expressed concern for everyone’s safety, asking fans if they were all okay and advising them to ask for help otherwise, the idols delivered breathtaking synchronized choreography while singing live.

Taeil and Doyoung’s powerful vocals reached impressive high notes, while Mark and Taeyong’s rapping parts drew louder and louder screams from the audience.

Johnny reached the height of sensuality in a dance performance during the presentation of “Focus”. Shirtless, he moved masterfully inside a glass box that mimicked a bathroom, complete with a shower head. “I can’t wait until we relax. What do you want to do?”, says the chorus.

Jungwoo made everyone’s jaws drop with his tight and fast dance moves to “Lipstick”.

Yuta, in turn, would raise screams of “hello, hello, hello, hello, Yuta, Yuta” in his highlights moments in the performances or when he declared something to the NCTzens in the interactive parts.

Meanwhile, Jaehyun showcased his diverse talents in singing, dancing, and rapping.

In addition to the songs sung in a group, the show was also composed of individual performances, highlighting the main skills of each member.

In the end, it was time for the most recent hits, “Sticker”, “2 Baddies” and “Faster”. Finally, in the encore with the emotional “Promise you”, the artists played with the gifts thrown towards the stage by the fans who were closest to them. Some of the items were props, like animal ears, worn by Taeyong and Doyoung, or sunglasses, in Jungwoo’s case.

“Oh, I promise you, the day we meet again (so stay). I’ll smile, and more than say any words (so stay). Just like you showed me, this time I’ll give you my heart for all eternity,” says the lyrics.

The next step for NCT 127, in addition to continuing with the tour in Latin America, after having passed through the US, is the release of the repackage album “Ay-Yo” on the 30th. At the press conference, Taeyong described the work , speaking in Portuguese, with the expression “very dough”.

According to SM Entertainment, the album consists of 15 tracks, three of which are new, including the song that gives the album its name. Among the tracklist, 12 songs are from the group’s fourth full-length album.
