Navy Contest 2023: candidates will compete for 293 vacancies – 05/10/2023 – Market

The Navy opened a selection process with 293 places in the Merchant Navy training schools in Rio de Janeiro and Belém (PA).

Registration will open at 12:00 pm on Monday (15th) and will run until 23:59 on May 25th. The fee will cost R$65, and registration will be done exclusively through this link (Salaries have not been disclosed.

According to the notice, published on Tuesday (9), 174 people will be selected for Ciaga (Almirante Graça Aranha Instruction Center), in Rio de Janeiro, and 119 candidates for Ciaba (Almirante Braz de Aguiar Instruction Center). ), in Belem.

The selection process will be carried out in four stages: knowledge test, psychophysical selection, physical sufficiency test and period of adaptation and verification of documents. The course is scheduled to start on January 29, 2024.

To participate, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Be aged between 17 and 23 on January 1, 2024
• Have completed high school by January 29, 2024
• be single
• Not having a child or dependent
• Height between 1.54 m and 2 m
• Not having been convicted in transit and unappealable (when there are no more appeals)
• Be up to date with military service and electoral justice obligations

To register, the candidate must access the Navy website, choose the “Online Registration” option, fill out the pre-registration form, confirm and print the bank slip with the registration fee charged, which must be paid by 26 of May

How will the selection

The first classification stage will be the general knowledge test, which will also define the center to which the candidate will apply. Those who take the exam in the Midwest, Southeast and South regions will compete for a vacancy at Ciaga. People who take the test in the North and Northeast regions will compete for a place in Ciaba.

The test will have 20 multiple choice questions in Portuguese, English, Mathematics and Physics, and an essay. Each correct question earns five points, and the candidate must have at least 50 points in the general knowledge exam and in the composition. The test will be held on August 19 and 20, from 10 am to 2 pm (Brasília time).

The preliminary answer will be released on August 21st and the result will be released on September 19th. The thousand competitors with the highest score in Ciaga and the 800 best placed in Ciaba qualify for the next stage.

The psychophysical selection consists of a series of medical examinations between October and November of this year. On November 24th, the organization will announce the candidates for the third stage, which will be a physical sufficiency test.

The result of this phase will be announced on December 15th. The last step is the adaptation period and verification of documents between 8 and 26 January 2024, with the start of the course scheduled for 29 January next year.
