Natura&Co sells The Body Shop to Aurelius for US$254 million

Excluding the impact of the sale of Aesop, Natura would have ended the third quarter with a net profit of R$745 million, the company stated in its balance sheet. Natura&Co sold Aesop to French cosmetics company L’Oréal in April for US$2.53 billion. “The resources obtained from the sale of Aesop, completed at the end of August, allowed us to quickly advance our liability management plan, with more than half of our debt already prepaid by the end of the quarter”, stated the president- company executive, Fábio Barbosa, in the balance sheet. The quarter’s result came despite a 10.5% drop in net revenue in the annual comparison, to R$7.52 billion. Cash generation measured by adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) was R$751 million, growth of 10% on an annual basis.
