Wineries across the country can now register for the 31st National Wine Assessment – Vintage 2023. The event, organized by the Associação Brasileira de Enologia (ABE), is the largest wine tasting of a single vintage in the world. Applications will be open until the 4th of August. The registration form and the regulations can be found on the website www.anvinhos.com.br.

The National Wine Assessment takes place in a hybrid format, with 750 in-person tickets and 450 kits to accompany the event from home, through a YouTube broadcast on the ABE channel. The event is an opportunity for contact between producers and consumers. In this edition, some changes were made: the number of samples in the Base Wine for Sparkling Wine Category decreased from three to two, in addition to the increase from one to two in the Young Red Wine Category, and also the expansion of the possibility of registering harvest wine winter season – from July 2022 to June 2023 -, in all categories.

“The National Wine Assessment has reached an enviable level, advancing along with the Brazilian wine sector. It has become the biggest showcase for national wine, attracting looks from all over Brazil and the world, in addition to serving as a thermometer for winemakers”, explains Ricardo Morari, president of ABE, who sees the event as an opportunity to highlight the quality and diversity of terroirs Brazilians.

Sample collection will take place during the month of August. In September, a technical team made up of more than 90 winemakers will carry out a blind tasting, and the result will be presented live on November 4th. Tickets and kits will be available from August 29th on the website:
