National ranking highlights Manaus as the best city for the real estate market

Exame magazine released the information acquired by Urban Systems, that the capital of Manaus is the fourth best city to invest in commercial ventures such as houses and apartments

Urban Systems, through Exame magazine, released this Wednesday (24th), that Manaus is fourth in the ranking of the 100 best cities to do real estate business in Brazil, behind São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Brasília. The company that carried out the research prepares studies of cities aimed at directing the business expansion strategy, through the evaluation of the demand profile.

In 2021, Manaus was in 5th place, rising one position in 2022. In the survey of the ranking list, municipalities with more than 100 thousand inhabitants were analyzed, this being the ninth edition of the survey that evaluates more than 60 questions and indicators in the economic areas.

In 2022, the Municipal Institute of Urban Planning (Implurb), licensed 1,190,677.97 square meters of area with new construction permits, issuing 882 certificates for the civil construction market.

Implurb’s vice-president, Claudemir Andrade, explains that the study included analyzes of infrastructure, logistics, telecommunications, urban mobility, transport and sanitation. “We received the ranking data released by Exame magazine in a very gratifying way. And this portrait is the result of the work developed internally within the concern with approving projects and licensing real estate works in the last 2 years in the management of the mayor, David Almeida. Implurb’s numbers and parameters reaffirm this position in the ranking, the position occupied in the national scenario”, he said.

For the architect, the fourth position is a very important highlight, because it also places Manaus ahead of large capitals such as Salvador, Belém, Fortaleza, Curitiba and Porto Alegre. “And who is at the top, São Paulo, has a much larger territorial and population dimension than Manaus, in addition to an enormous housing deficit, even proportionally”, he completes.

Andrade also points out that these data reflect the efforts of the Municipality of Manaus to speed up the approval of projects and urban licensing, allowing new real estate developments in the city, as a result of the dedication of the technical staff of the autarchy and municipal management, with guidance from the mayor David Almeida. “And that we can be more and more inducers in the promotion of new real estate launches in Manaus”, he concludes.
