The Joint Budget Commission (CMO) approved this Tuesday (25) the government project that opens special credit in the amount of R$ 7.3 billion so that the Ministry of Health can assist in the implementation of the nursing floor. After approval by the CMO, the text must be analyzed by the plenary of the National Congress. The expectation is that the vote will take place this Wednesday (26). If approved, the proposal will take effect in May.

Law No. 14,434/2022 defines that the base salary for nurses hired under the Consolidation of Labor Laws (CLT) regime will be R$ 4,750. Nursing technicians should receive 70% of this amount (R$ 3,325) and nursing assistants and midwives, 50% (R$ 2,375).
