Minha Casa, Minha Vida: Caixa Financing starts on the 7th – 06/28/2023 – Market

Caixa announced this Wednesday (28) the release of financing for properties of up to R$ 350,000 as of July 7, when it will implement the measures of the new Minha Casa, Minha Vida.

This new limit for financing with FGTS resources (guarantee fund) meets band 3 of the housing program, aimed at families with incomes of up to R$ 8,000. Before, the ceiling for this range was R$ 264 thousand.

The subsidy to complement the purchase of the property through Minha Casa, Minha Vida also increased: from R$ 47.5 thousand to R$ 55 thousand. The value is defined according to population, social and income factors.

Maria Rita Serrano, president of the federal bank, says that hiring with the new conditions of the
Minha Casa, Minha Vida will be available at bank branches and also at Caixa correspondents across the country.

For families in Tiers 1 and 2, with an income of up to BRL 4,400, the property value limit varies between BRL 190,000 and BRL 264,000, depending on the location, as shown in the table below:

The new version of the program, which was relaunched in February, increased the income limit for families to access housing finance.

Tier 1 is aimed at families with a gross monthly income of up to two minimum wages, equivalent to R$2,640. The rules also establish that band 2 serves families with an income of between R$ 2,640.01 and R$ 4,400; and group 3, families that receive every month from R$ 4,400.01 to R$ 8,000.

According to members of the government, the measure aims to adjust the housing program to the profile of families that started to enter the new version of Minha Casa, Minha Vida, in addition to the need to accommodate the increase in civil construction costs.
