Mayara Magri declares herself on the 85th birthday of Lauro César Muniz and counters dating criticism: ‘Idiots’

At age 60, actress Mayara Magri used social media to make a public declaration of love to her boyfriend, soap opera author Lauro César Muniz, who has just turned 85.

“Today is your birthday. I want to say that you brought me light. My partner, my love, my favorite writer. I gave life to your characters and today I give my life to you”, she began.

Magri took the opportunity to counter the criticism he receives due to the age difference between the two:

“Different from what hypocrites think, we are together not for the reasons that idiots believe, but for us, for the love and respect we have for each other, until when life allows us. Congratulations”.

The actress and author have been in a relationship since March 2021. Before, Lauro was married for almost twenty years to Bárbara Bruno, actress and director, daughter of Nicette Bruno, who died in December 2020, a victim of Covid-19.

Lauro spoke of the relationship with Magri in a post on Instagram in December: “One day, approaching 84 years old, I stopped and thought: it’s over, now I just have to wait my time. I felt that the end had come. I thought of rereading two books and reviewing seven films alone, isolated, quiet. Suddenly, the heart’s astonishment: I exploded! Mayara in my eyes! Life shook my whole body and then I understood that the end was postponed. Beautiful, intelligent, soft and…. Alive woman again as if I were young. Mayara, present in my heart,” he wrote.

With a long career on TV, Mayara Magri now repeats in her personal life the professional partnership she had with the author in soap operas such as “O Salvador da Pátria” and “Roda de Fogo”.

The actress was previously married to director Herval Rossano, who died in 2007, and dated actor Flávio Galvão for five years, with whom she broke up in February 2017.
