The Minister of Cities, Jader Filho, said, this Wednesday (12), that the units in the first range of the Minha Casa, Minha Vida program will cost a maximum of R$ 170,000.
Further details on contracting the subsidies will be known this Thursday (13), when the ordinance will be published in the Official Gazette.
The track will be intended for families with a monthly income of up to R$ 2,640 and had been extinguished by the Bolsonaro government during Casa Verde e Amarela.
The resumption of Minha Casa, Minha Vida has the goal of contracting over two million new homes by 2026 to benefit families with incomes of up to R$8,000 (tier 3).
At the 96th Enic, held by the Cbic (Brazilian Chamber of the Construction Industry), the minister stated that the ministry is reorganizing itself as well as the federal housing program. “We want to listen to the sector, only with you, Minha Casa, Minha Vida will be possible”, he said, applauded by businessmen.
FGTS
Jader Filho again said that the government wants to expand the use of the FGTS (guarantee fund) in the purchase of a home, subsidizing the down payment of Minha Casa, Minha Vida properties.
At the same event, the national secretary for housing, Hailton Madureira, said that the Ministry of Cities does not agree with the use of the FGTS for other purposes, such as financing vehicles.
The secretary also commented on the possibility of changing the correction of the guarantee fund for inflation. The trial is scheduled for this semester at the STF (Federal Supreme Court).
“It is fundamental, today, the correction by TR [Taxa Referencial] to provide stability in real estate financing. Corrected by the IPCA would bring a lot of instability to our credit system, we are not prepared for that”, said the secretary.
More rules for construction
Madureira also said that the ministry’s next ordinances will bring guidelines to remedy the main criticisms of the first Minha Casa, Minha Vida: quality and location.
“Understanding the criticism that the program received in order to move forward is important. We will demand waterproofing of the facades, not paint. We also want to advance in land inserted in the city with a health center, school, bus stop, etc”, he said.
According to the secretary, the government is studying how to include homeless families and properties that can undergo retrofit in the MCMV. “These are solutions that we have to find a way,” he said.
R$ 9.5 billion from the Budget were allocated to the housing program.
