Voice and guitar recordings come out in July and celebrate the 80th birthday that the composer from Rio de Janeiro, who died in 1995, would celebrate on December 27th. ♪ Maurício Tapajós (December 27, 1943 – April 21, 1995) would be 80 years old at the end of 2023 from Rio de Janeiro. and EPs – kicks off the celebrations of the event, revealing compositions left by Tapajós on cassette tapes from the 1980s to 1993. The project to rescue the composer’s work is called Caixa de K7s. For having released only a single solo album, Olha lá (1980), the partner of lyricists of the size of Aldir Blanc (1946 – 2020), Cacaso (1944 – 1987) and Paulo César Pinheiro left several unpublished songs recorded only in voice format -e-guitar. The first to go digital, on July 5th, is Comigo no subway, a partnership between Tapajós and Aldir Blanc, with whom the artist shared an album in 1984. It is a marchinha with irreverent lyrics, commonly sung by the composer at home and at concerts. A month later, on August 5th, the single with É som!, music composed by Tapajós without partners, is released. The artist dreamed of this song and, waking up, wrote the lyrics and recorded the composition on cassette. Later on, there will be an EP with unpublished works by Tapajós and Paulo César Pinheiro and another EP will be released on Praça Mauá, with songs composed with Nei Lopes. Editions of songs made by Maurício Tapajós with Hermínio Bello de Carvalho and José Carlos Capinan are also planned.
