Manaus (AM) – About 600 people watched the exciting show O Rugido, this Sunday (18), at Teatro Amazonas. Starring guitarist Mateus Ribeiro, the event was attended by a varied audience, including children, young people, adults and the elderly who, between one song and another, applauded and applauded the musician’s authorial melodies. The requests for “one more”, at the end of the presentation, summed up the success of the project, which will soon be available on DVD.

“This performance is a huge milestone in my career, as it showed that instrumental music does have a place in people’s hearts and O Rugido was a paradigm shift. Packing the Teatro Amazonas with songs that have no lyrics and the audience applauding and getting emotional was priceless for me”,

said Matthew Ribeiro.

Since the end of the show, the artist has been receiving feedback from the audience and comments from those who were moved. “Knowing that the songs touched the soul is something I can’t describe, it’s a wonderful feeling, especially for seeing that the result was much better than I expected”, declares the guitarist.

Minutes before the start of the show, several people tried to buy tickets, which had already been sold out for days.

“I’ve been to Teatro Amazonas several times and I know how difficult it is to fill that place, and yesterday it just happened, so I believe this is a sign that I should continue”,

The next steps now for the musician are the release of his single next month, in addition to the DVD of the show that took place at Teatro Amazonas. “My solo career started off on the right foot and I believe that O Rugido will open many doors, mainly for participation in festivals across the country”, assesses Ribeiro.

Conceived by Mateus Ribeiro, O Rugido rocked the public from start to finish with rock and roll, MPB and soul music influences. Civil servant Laís Gonçalves says that she left home early to meet her friends at Largo São Sebastião and check out the show.

For her, this was an opportunity to meet new talents from the Amazonian music scene. “I came to accompany my friends and, I didn’t regret it, I loved the show from beginning to end”, comments the young woman.

Another person who applauded the presentation was the musician from Alagoas, Emerson Leal. “It is important that more cultural projects like this are part of the population’s daily life. In addition to valuing artists, they also encourage new generations“, he commented.

In addition to Mateus on guitar, O Rugido featured Lucas Pires on piano, Mykael Garcia on double bass, and Abner Pires on drums. The show also had the special participation of singers Matheus Santaella, Gabriel Fonseca, and Beatriz Procópio, in addition to poetry by writer and teacher Jackeline Monteiro.
