Financial market agents revised upwards, for the seventh consecutive week, the growth of the Brazilian Domestic Product (GDP) for this year and a new drop in the inflation forecast, according to data from the Focus Report released this Monday morning (26) .
According to analysts heard by the Central Bank, the GDP will end 2023 with a rise of 2.18%, 0.04 percentage points above the estimate last week and 0.92 of the forecast a month ago (see in full).
Inflation, on the other hand, had a new drop in the forecast for the year, from 5.12% to 5.06%. A month ago, the estimate was that the IPCA (Extended Consumer Price Index) would end 2023 at 5.71%.
On the other hand, financial market agents believe in the stability of the dollar exchange rate at BRL 5 and the Selic rate at 12.25% at the end of 2023.
