Financial market analysts heard by the Central Bank project that inflation will end the year at 5.93%, 0.02 percentage points less compared to last week’s forecast, according to the Focus report published this Monday morning ( 27).

However, according to the agents heard by the BC, inflation in the next two years should have a slight increase of 4.13% in 2024 (0.02% more than predicted last week) and 4% in 2025 (+0 .1%) (see full text).

The GDP (Gross Domestic Product) growth also has a perspective of improvement and reaches 0.90%, 0.02 percentage points more than in the previous report.

On the other hand, market analysts believe that the Monetary Policy Committee will lower the Selic interest rate to 12.75% per annum for the sixth week, even with the signal given last week that the monetary authority may make further adjustments . Copom is expected to release the minutes of the meeting this Tuesday (28) with details of the decision and perspectives for the year.
