‘Manaus National Comics Week’ has free entry and starts this Saturday

The event will take place on the 28th, 29th and 30th of January, and the 4th and 5th of February.
The 5th edition of the “Manaus National Comics Week”, an event that celebrates Brazilian artists and their work, begins this Saturday (28), from 4 pm to 8 pm, at the Amazonas Public Library, located at Rua Barroso, 57, in the Center.
The event, this year, will take place on the 28th, 29th and 30th of January, and the 4th and 5th of February, being free and open to the general public. The Week has the support of Manaus City Hall, through the Municipal Foundation for Culture, Tourism and Events (Manauscult).
Held since 2019, the event was conceived in celebration of the “National Comics Day”, celebrated on January 30. The first day of the event will have activities such as: workshop on Screenplay Notions for Comics with Daniel Esteves; editorial events in the Amazon – lecture with the participation of producers Evaldo Vasconcelos, Rhafa Porto, professor Claudia Menezes Martins and editor Rapha Pinheiro; launch and signing table for Stan Lee’s Death Hunt comic, with editor Sâmela Hidalgo and artists Tai Silva and Raquel Teixeira; in addition to online platforms for comics – online lecture with Luiz Andrade and Carol Peacemaker.
