Licensees at the Glória neighborhood food court receive equipment that will help with sales

A new life story is being built by the Municipality of Manaus together with the permission holders of the food court in the Glória neighborhood, on Avenida Presidente Dutra, West zone. In order to promote work, humanize and standardize the structures of the capital’s fairs, the Secretariat of Agriculture, Supply, Center and Informal Commerce (Semacc), delivered, this Thursday, 1/26, the industrial electric ovens, to workers who, since December 2022, have been working in a modern area, reorganized and with all the equipment donated by the municipal management.

According to Wanderson Costa, owner of Semacc, the new equipment will help salespeople in this new endeavor, as many of them were without conditions, including hygiene.

“Investing in fairs and in the workers who work at them is fundamental, because these spaces generate jobs, in addition to keeping the economy warm. The city hall not only renovated this place, but also applied recycling and entrepreneurship courses for permit holders, in addition to equipping all the boxes with new and industrial objects, necessary for them to work in a dignified and fair way”, emphasized Costa.

Operating for 27 years in one of the square’s boxes, saleswoman Zeura Marialva Sevalho is very happy with the new venture.

“My God, it’s much more than I dreamed of, I never imagined working in a renovated area and with all the equipment we are receiving. Today I’m receiving this industrial oven to sell pizza, but I’ve already received a television, sandwich plate, freezer, stove, water dispenser and everything else, even the tables were donated. My heart doesn’t even believe it. Now it’s time to stay at work and take care of things home”, concluded the permit holder.

Delivered in December 2022, the area contains 15 fully restructured and modernized boxes with new floors, ceilings and ceilings, electrical and hydraulic systems, in addition to new doors and window frames.

In addition to the implementation of the public restroom, which had the space divided into three areas, being female, male, and the other part for People with Disabilities (PwD), containing a special vase with grab bars and the sink.
