Manaus City Hall and Senac in partnership offer professional courses

The partnership of the courses by the entities will take place at the André Vidal de Araújo school, in the Nossa Senhora das Graças neighborhood

The Municipal Secretary of Education (Semed), signed a partnership with the National Service of Commercial Learning (Senac/AM), this Tuesday (7), to carry out a pilot project of courses for March. The goal is to professionalize parents and students at the Municipal School of Special Education (EMEE) André Vidal de Araújo, in the Nossa Senhora das Graças neighborhood, in the south of the city.

The project is estimated to start courses in the second half of March, benefiting the parents of the 70 students of Youth and Adult Education (EJA), of the night shift, of the teaching unit. The qualification will be carried out at the school itself and also at Senac.

For the head of the School Management Support Division (Dage), Luiz Oliveira, the partnership reinforces Semed’s commitment to social issues.

“The presence of parents will be essential for the success of these professional courses for night shift students. It will be an extremely important partnership to really leverage this effective participation of the family within the school”, he explained.

According to Senac’s professional education director, Ellen Castro, this is an opportunity to prepare parents and students for the job market.

“This initiative reinforces Semed’s special look that goes beyond education. The courses open the way, so that it is possible to learn a profession, qualify and thus seek financial independence”, he concluded.

The director of the school, Rocicleide Baima, said that a survey will be carried out at the institution, to serve everyone in the best possible way.

“From a meeting, we will listen to the needs of each one and try to identify which parents and students are best suited within the courses offered through this partnership with Senac. This is being very important to open this range within the school, provide this qualification and, with this, reinforce social inclusion”, he added.
