In addition to the presentations, the artists from Manaus will give three workshops on circus techniques in the “metropolis of the Amazon”
Bethlehem (PA) — The Amazonian company Circo Caboclo presents, in Belém (PA), the “Floating Experience — Acrobatic Show”, on March 7th and 8th, at 7 pm, at the Teatro Experimental Waldemar Henrique, at Avenida Presidente Vargas, 645, in the Campina neighborhood . The show is open to all audiences and admission is free. In addition to the presentations, the artists from Manaus will give three workshops on circus techniques in the “metropolis of the Amazon”.
The project is an artistic proposal that mixes acrobatics, dance, music and acting on stage. The show features ground acrobatics, aerial acrobatics, manipulation and balance acts.
The cast includes acrobats Jean Winder and Laisa Silva, music by Alexandre da Amazônia, Cícero Benedito and Wilkerson Lima, lighting by Daniel Ferrat, with production by Jean Winder and Amanda Magaiver (Manaus), in addition to Yure Lee (Belém). Cícero Benedito also as a videomaker and photographer.
The circus show is composed of aerial acrobatics together with live music, aiming to bring different sensations and thrill the audience.
“Our biggest recommendation is that the public come curious and willing to have fun because I’m sure that’s what will happen. Everyone will be very impressed and happy as soon as they absorb the proposal for seeing this type of content in person”,
explains acrobat Jean Winder.
Cultural exchange
The independent company, through the show, promotes a cultural exchange between artists from Manaus (AM) and Belém (PA). According to Winder, the exhibition marks a partnership to strengthen the artistic class in the North, which aims at more presentations, courses and shows in the future.
“This movement means that we have a very strengthening relationship between artists from the North of Brazil. We will present the show in Belém and give three workshops on circus techniques. So, we have this objective of having a dialogue with the artistic class of Belém, Pará, this will strengthen our relations. We will take the opportunity to contribute to the free formation of artists from Pará, sharing our experiences, our techniques. I consider this very important to strengthen the dialogue between our cities in order to have a more direct dialogue, something that defines objectives, focuses, and this show will represent, at that moment, a very geographic understanding of the issue”,
circus experience
The acrobat Laisa Silva acts as a ballet teacher and, in circus art, she dares to perform aerial activities in apparatus and fabric, dedicated to performing artistic activities with perfection and invites her to the show. “I’m sure this show will enchant and that people will like it”, she says.
The “Floating Experience” has a musical proposal mixed with artistic performances. Alongside Alexandre da Amazônia and Wilkerson Lima, the musician Cícero Benedito says that the songs seek to create a unity between the urban and the natural.
“We aim to create songs from different instruments, some of them being indigenous, for example, and others with more contemporary ones, such as guitar, bass and drums, together with these instruments we also have flutes. The intention is to go after a percussiveness, we seek a more ferocious song, to bring this perspective of this construction between one point and another”,
affirm.
“In music, we seek to bring this dimension of sensation, this fluctuation between one point and another, a release, tension and relaxation guided by the artistic construction that we all seek to bring to this show”, highlights Cícero.
