The Ministry of Health opened, this Monday (22), a public notice for 5,970 vacancies in the Mais Médicos program, in almost 2,000 cities.
Priority is given to opening vacancies in areas considered to be of greater social vulnerability and where there is a vacuum in assistance. Of the selected professionals, one thousand will be allocated in the Legal Amazon.
The program will have benefits for working in areas of vulnerability, permanence and for professionals who came from the Fies program. Whoever is chosen will also be able to take a specialization, master’s or improvement course in the area of family health.
“One of the novelties is the opportunity to specialize in family and community medicine and a master’s degree in family health,” says the folder.
The notice opened on Monday also extends the doctor’s bond with the program from 3 to 4 years, a time that can be extended for the same period.
According to the Ministry of Health, Brazilian doctors will have priority in the selection, but Brazilians trained abroad or foreigners may also participate – for vacancies not occupied by doctors registered in Brazil.
Professionals allocated to vulnerable areas can receive up to R$ 120,000 in bonuses if they remain in the position for four years. Those trained by Fies can receive, depending on the situation, up to R$ 475,000 extra.
The region that will have the most vacancies is the Southeast, followed by the North and Northeast.
