Former federal deputy Rodrigo Maia (PSDB-RJ) will take over as of Thursday (2) the presidency of the National Confederation of Financial Institutions (CNF). He will serve a three-year term at the head of the entity. The announcement was made by the former parliamentarian on his social networks.

“I assume, as of tomorrow, the presidency of the CNF (National Confederation of Financial Institutions), an entity that represents the different segments of the financial market and a sector that is fundamental for the country’s economy. New challenges!”, wrote Maia. After six terms as a federal deputy, Maia did not run in the last elections. In his last speech in the Chamber, where he was president between 2016 and 2021, Maia stated that he would return to work in the private sector.
