At the end of June, the singer had to be admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in New York. “Thank you for all the positive energy, prayers, healing words and encouragement. I felt your love,” she wrote on social media. “I am on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life,” the message reads. Madonna thanks fans after hospitalization Reproduction/Instagram On June 28, the singer’s manager, Guy Oseary, published a note in which he said that Madonna had been hospitalized because of a serious bacterial infection and, therefore, they were postponing the start of the tour, on the 15th of July. She has now been discharged and is recovering at home. “My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my kids. My second thought was that I didn’t want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour,” he says in Monday’s post. “I also don’t want to let down any of the people who have worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I hate to let anyone down.” Madonna even explains that her focus now is on her health and that on getting stronger. “I guarantee, I’ll be back as soon as I can.” She also stated that the plan from now on is to reschedule the tour in North America and start the European tour in October. “I couldn’t be more grateful for your love and support.” Pop Week shows Madonna’s comebacks The singer’s tour, named “Celebration”, celebrates the four decades of her career. The premiere was scheduled for July 15 in Vancouver, Canada. Tickets were already sold out. She would also pass through the United States and European countries, such as England, Spain, Denmark, Belgium, Portugal and France. The singer’s last show was scheduled for January 30, 2024, in Mexico.
