President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) signed this Wednesday (28) a bill to readjust the salaries of security forces in the Federal District. According to the Planalto Palace, the request came from the DF bench in Congress. The adjustment was included in PLN 2/2023, which granted a 9% increase to all federal employees.
“They will have the same readjustment that the civilians of the Federal Executive had”, said the Minister of Management and Innovation in Public Services, Esther Dweck, in a note. With the PLN, there will be a readjustment of 9% for this year and another 9% next year for the security forces of the DF, according to the government.
The remuneration of military and civil police officers and firefighters in the DF is funded by the Constitutional Fund of the Federal District (FCDF), with Union resources. In addition, the minister stated that the federal government is forwarding, in the same PLN, another budget amendment to add 5,000 vacancies in the cadres of universities and federal institutes.
