Lula’s team is still discussing with the Chinese government the details of the agenda for the first trip to the Asian country after the PT’s return to the Planalto Palace. China is Brazil’s main trading partner and has shown dissatisfaction with the friction it has had with authorities and family members of the Jair Bolsonaro (PL) government over the past four years. Chancellor Mauro Vieira should address the issue with the Chinese chancellor, Qin Gang, during the G20 meeting in India, at the end of this month. Lula should have other agendas in China besides the meeting with Xi. Lula opened his third term willing to put Brazil back in the discussions of the main global forums. In January, the president went to Argentina and Uruguay. Afterwards, he met with US President Joe Biden in Washington.
