Lizzo is sued by three dancers on charges of hostile work environment

Former members of the singer’s ballet filed a lawsuit against the singer, in which they claim to have suffered sexual, religious and racial harassment, among other accusations. According to Variety magazine, the lawsuit opened on Tuesday (1), in Los Angeles, is against Lizzo, the producer of the singer (Big Grrrl Big Touring), and Shirlene Quigley, responsible for commanding the dance team. Among the allegations by dancers Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez are accusations of sexual, religious and racial harassment, disability discrimination, as well as assault and false imprisonment. The lawsuit involves a deposition in which they cite being pressured to touch nude dancers at a live sex show in Amsterdam. At another point, there is a quote that Lizzo would have called the attention of one of the dancers due to weight gain. Arianna Davis was fired in May for taping a meeting in which Lizzo graded dancers for their performances. Crystal Williams claims she was fired after speaking out at a meeting in which Lizzo accused dancers of drinking before performances. The resignation was publicly justified by “budget cuts”, but Willians claims that no other members left the ballet at that time. Willians’ dismissal was allegedly used by Lizzo as a tactic to intimidate other dancers during another meeting in April. Noelle Rodriguez even complained to the person responsible for running the ballet about the departure of her colleagues, but ended up resigning.
