Literary festival welcomes writers in Manaus

Event takes place at Gebes Medeiros Theater
Manaus (AM) – The City of Manaus, through the Municipal Council of Culture (Concultura), with the support of the Municipal Foundation for Culture, Tourism and Events (Manauscult) and the Secretariat for Culture and Creative Economy (SEC), presents, on the second day of the Literary Festival of Manaus (Flim) 2023, the writer from the Brazilian Academy of Letters (ABL), Antonio Torres, the linguist Ernani Terra, the indigenous researcher and writer, Marina Miranda, and the Amazonian writers, Zemaria Pinto and Fabrício Magalhães, in the auditorium of the Theater Gebes Medeiros, located in Ideal Clube, center of Manaus, South zone.
Flim 2023 has the theme “Literature of our People”, and runs until this Wednesday (29). The event brings together local, regional and national authors who are giving round tables and participating in other artistic activities.
In the program this Tuesday (28), at 2 pm, the thematic table took place: The Short Story and Romanesque Tradition in Amazonas: Authors and Essential Works; at 3:30 pm, lecture: The Social Role of the Writer. Minister Ernani Terra, mediator, Cássia Nascimento; at 4:30 pm, the lecture: Literature and Ancestry, speaker, Marina Miranda, mediator, Ana Michele Martins; and at 5:30 pm, Chat with Poets, with the presence of guests: Elson Farias, Celdo Braga, Aldisio Filgueiras and mediator Juciane Cavalheiro.
In total, the 2023 edition brings together three national speakers, who will participate in thematic tables, with the participation of 25 local guests, totaling 28 speakers. Publishers, second-hand bookstores and bookstores participate by selling their collections to the participating public.
