The mayor, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), appointed deputy Aguinaldo Ribeiro (PP-PB) to be the rapporteur of the working group that will analyze the tax reform. Deputy Reginaldo Lopes (PT-MG) will be the coordinator. The other members of the collegiate should be announced this week. Lira said that the text of the tax reform is ready and will not start from scratch, informed Agência Câmara.

“The matters have already been exhausted, we had a mixed commission, what we are trying to do, together with the government, which is willing to approve the reform, is to revisit the reform to give it naturalness, familiarity [do assunto] to new deputies. It won’t start from scratch. The text is ready and needs to be adjusted depending on the convenience of the moment”, said Lira, after meeting with the Parliamentary Front for Agriculture this Tuesday (7).
