The B3, operator of the São Paulo Stock Exchange, informed this Friday (12) that it will exclude the share of Light SA, owner of the energy distributor Light, from all its indices, after the company filed a recovery request. judicial.
The exclusion of the nine indices of which it is a part will take place at the end of the trading session next Monday (15), according to the methodologies of the indices, informed B3.
Light filed a request for judicial recovery with the 3rd Corporate Court of the state of Rio de Janeiro, claiming the need to seek a solution for debts of approximately R$ 11 billion of its energy distributor.
After the request, the company’s shares opened this Friday’s session on the B3 in a sharp fall.
Around 1:35 pm, the share retreated 18.92%, to R$ 3.77, knocking down the IEEX (Electric Energy Index), which fell 1.77% and led the falls among the B3 indices.
In addition to the IEEX, Light was part of the IBRA, IGCT, IGCX, IGNM, ISEE, ITAG, SMLL and UTIL indices.
According to B3, Light’s participation in these indices “will be proportionally redistributed to the other portfolio members with the relevant adjustment in the reducers”.
