Levante Favela starts a circuit of presentations and workshops in six districts of the Capital from Saturday (11)

The Teatro de Rua Pra Resistir e Pra Lutar project, an initiative of the Cambada de Teatro em Ação Direta Leva Favela, performs, in March, a series of presentations of the show Mary, Her Daughters and Her Sons, as well as street theater workshops in different neighborhoods of the capital. The activities will take place on weekends in the communities of Arquipélago, Chapéu do Sol, Lami, Mário Quintana, Passo das Pedras and Pitinga, in Porto Alegre.
The theatrical performances will take place on March 12th, 19th and 26th and April 2nd, 9th and 16th, on Sundays. The workshops will be held on March 11th, 18th and 25th and April 1st, 8th and 15th, always on Saturdays, with free admission. Those interested in the workshops must be over 13 years old and can enroll at one of the addresses: Ocupação Montepio (Av. Protásio Alves, 10.970), Centro Vida (Baltazar de Oliveira Garcia, 2.132), Colonia de Pescadores Z5 (R Nossa Sra. da Boa Viagem, 1916), at the Xavantes Association (Av. Inácio Antônio da Silva, 638, Chapéu do Sol), at the Nossa Senhora de Lourdes Church (Armando Pedro da Rosa, 221) and at the Jardim Floresta Association (Rua The Allotment Jardim Floresta, 69).
Written and directed by the group Cambada de Teatro em Ação Direta Levante Favela, the text is based on the play Mary and her Five Children, by the playwright João Siqueira from Santa Catarina. With a strong content of social criticism, the montage seeks to promote reflections on social inequalities and their impact on people’s daily lives. The cast includes Pâmela Bratz, Danielle Rosa, Ricardo Padilha, Merlin Morlos, Thomaz Rosa and Andrea Sparremberger.
