With a thin crust and a well-seasoned filling, the pastel is one of the best representations of Brazilian cuisine. With quick preparation, the dish is versatile and can be served as a starter, afternoon snack or even lunch at the end of the week.

Success among pizza lovers, the flavor with cheese, tomato and basil, takes on another look in the crunchy pastry dough. To give it a final touch, brush it with a little olive oil before placing it in the airfryer.

PIZZA PASTRY IN THE AIRFRYER

Performance: 4 servings
Preparation time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

Pasta

• 500 g wheat flour
• 1 egg
• 50 ml of cachaça
• 150 ml of water
• 1 and 1/2 tablespoon oil
• salt

Filling

• 100 g of mozzarella
• 1 tomato
• Oregano
• Oil

Preparation

• Place the wheat in a large bowl and add a pinch of salt.
• In a smaller bowl, beat the egg so that the yolk mixes with the white.
• Open a hole in the center of the wheat and place the egg, oil and cachaça.
• Mix first with a spatula and when it’s firm, finish mixing with your hands until it’s smooth.
• Cut the dough in half to make it easier when opening, flour the bench and open the dough with a rolling pin.
• Place a culinary bag over the open dough and roll it up, to be easy to handle and not stick
• Leave it in the fridge for two hours
• When assembling, just cut it to the size you want.
• Place the mozzarella and diced tomato over the dough. Add a little oregano and fold the dough over the filling.

• Close the pastry with the help of a fork

• Lightly brush a little olive oil on both sides of the pastry and place in the airfryer at 180°C for 20 minutes.
