What makes a business thrive? Having a quality product is not enough if there are no motivated and committed employees. Therefore, putting together a high-performance team is essential for anyone who wants to stand out in the market. Created by the CEO & Founder of the Instituto Brasileiro de Vendas & Varejo (IBVV), Marcelo Salum, the project “Leadership Academy” seeks to train leaders to stimulate this performance.

The proposal’s mission, according to the Retail specialist, is to share all the knowledge acquired over more than 25 years of experience at the head of large companies, recognizing the importance of the leader’s role in management.

“The leader is responsible for identifying the potential of each employee, impacting the productivity and results of a company. Our goal is to transform people and organizations to achieve extraordinary results”,

Indicated for entrepreneurs, managers and entrepreneurs (both active and future ones), the 15-hour training is divided into five modules: Leadership, Thoughts and Changes; Management tools; Personal Marketing & Ethical Posture; Business Models & Trends; Strategic Planning & Business Plan.

“In the first module, we talked about how to maintain a balance between people management, profitability and results. In the second, we point out the management tools, anchored to the leadership goal. In the third, we show the importance of using our personal brand to drive our business and achieve our goals. All of this based on ethical values. In the fourth module, we highlight key trends and identify opportunities for business disruption and innovation. And, in the fifth, we teach the leader to build a ‘flight plan’, strategies to impact a company”,

According to Salum – who shares information on the subject on his Instagram profile (@marcelo.salum) –, training can be carried out “incopany”, after registering on the IBVV website (www.ibvv.com.br) .

“Our method is validated, as we have already carried out training for 50 groups with more than five thousand participants. With the ‘Leadership Academy’, we managed to improve the skills of managers, businessmen and entrepreneurs and leverage business objectives”,

Generating solutions and strategies with retailers, boosting talent, is IBVV’s mission. In this scenario, in addition to the “Leaders Academy”, the Institute has several types of consultancies, focused on meeting market demands.
A reference as a business mentor in the North Region, Salum comments that, in these processes, a ‘business anamnesis’ is carried out to identify the weak links of a company and establish the best solutions.

“Just as a doctor needs to make a diagnosis to prescribe a certain medication, we analyze what is missing, what is important, to suggest a set of actions and solutions that boost the business, generate synergy and provide results. After all, business is dreams, opportunities and gains”.
