Labor Justice AM/RR holds Regional Conciliation Day on August 28

Manaus (AM) – To join efforts to expand the number of agreements between employers and workers, resolving labor disputes more quickly, the Regional Labor Court of the 11th Region (AM/RR) promotes the 5th edition of the Regional Day of Conciliation. The event will take place on August 28 across the Regional.

Those interested in scheduling a conciliation hearing in processes in the knowledge phase have until August 11 to register them using the electronic form available on the Court’s website (www.trt11.jus.br) through the Services tab >> Conciliation Portal >> Registration for mediation and conciliation, citing the Regional Conciliation Day in the ‘Observation’ field. The Labor Courts of Manaus/AM, the interior of Amazonas and the Labor Courts of Boa Vista/RR will participate in the Regional Day of Conciliation, in addition to the Regional Judicial Centers for Consensual Methods of Dispute Resolution – Cejusc Manaus of 1st and 2nd degrees and Cejusc Boa Vista/RR, in addition to the 2nd degree judicial units.

The expectation is that a significant number of conciliation hearings will be held during this day.

Conflict resolution

The 2023 Regional Conciliation Day will be organized by the Coordination of the Permanent Nucleus of Consensual Dispute Methods (Coonupemec) and will be coordinated by Judge Ruth Barbosa Sampaio, coordinator of Numepec and supervisor of Cejusc-JT 2nd degree; and labor judge Selma Thury Vieira Sá Hauache, coordinator and supervisor of Cejusc-JT 1º Grau Manaus. The initiative also seeks to join efforts to meet the conciliation goals of the National Council of Justice (CNJ) and the Superior Council of Labor Justice (CSJT).

Judge Ruth Sampaio explains that the event is yet another opportunity for the parties to reach a consensus and end the labor conflict.

“We already have Conciliation Weeks held annually by the National Council of Justice (CNJ) and by the Superior Council of Labor Justice (CSJT). The Regional Conciliation Day, established through Administrative Resolution No. 25/2019, aims to encourage the use and improvement of consensual means of conflict resolution in this Court, consolidating a public policy of permanent encouragement to conciliation. Reconciliation is always the best way for everyone involved”,

In 2022, the Regional Conciliation Day held 538 conciliation hearings, which resulted in 177 agreements being ratified and more than R$1.7 million in labor claims released to claimants.
