The Kurytyba Gastronomia restaurant, Best buffet in Curitiba by the Bom Gourmet 2023 Award, won this Thursday (5) the second stage of the O Quilo É Nosso competition, held by the Brazilian Association of Bars and Restaurants (Abrasel) with the aim of moving the buffet segment across the country.

At this stage of the competition, the classifieds from each state competed against each other, preparing the recipe entered in the competition in front of a local technical jury. The dish Baião de Dois Paranaense, from the restaurant Kurytyba Gastronomia, won over the taste of the judging panel and surpassed the other four finalists from Paraná: Varanda Gourmet (salmon with special sauce), Quintana Gastronomia (artisan lasagna with cheese and nuts), Dona Helena Restaurante (verdi tagliatelle with Italian spicy salsa) and Happy Burger (plantain gnocchi with barreado).

In the previous stage of the competition, which ended in September, in addition to the recipe, the public and the local technical jury evaluated other criteria, such as cleanliness, environment, service and general quality of the buffet.

Kurytyba Gastronomia now represents Paraná in the grand final of the competition, which takes place on the 25th and 26th of October, during the Mesa ao Vivo São Paulo event, when the competitors will prepare the recipes live, in front of the event’s audience and the judges .
