The Labor Court overturned on Friday (7) two injunctions by Qintess, a technology services outsourcer, which was trying to stop an employee strike scheduled for this Monday (10).
In the decision, Labor Judge Bianca Bastos rejected Qintess’ argument that the strike movement was abusive.
In the requests, the company said that 50% of employees must join the strike and that the provision of services to clients with a contract in São Paulo such as Via, Raizen, Banco do Brasil, TRT-SP (Regional Labor Court) and Caixa Econômica Federal, will be affected.
The strike was approved in an assembly on the 31st. Among the employees’ complaints there are reports of late wages, lack of payment for vacations, transport vouchers, meal vouchers, FGTS deposits and others, according to Sindpd (Sindicato dos Trabalhadores em Information Technology of the State of São Paulo).
On Friday, representatives of Qintess and the category’s union met with the AGU (Advocacy-General of the Union) and judges from TRT São Paulo —two of the institutions for which the company provides services.
According to Antonio Neto, president of Sindpd, the TRT asked that the contingency of employees be guaranteed to prevent services from being affected, and the request will be granted.
On Monday, employees will hold a demonstration in front of the Ruy Barbosa Forum, in Barra Funda, asking for an audience to be scheduled to resolve the impasse.
Sought by Panel SA, Qintess did not manifest itself.
