Jurassic Park Burger Restaurant has closed its doors. But it’s just a break. The hamburger shop inspired by the movie “Jurassic Park – Parque dos Dinossauros”, in Vila Nova Conceição, will gain a new, larger unit at another address.
The space will have a restaurant and an interactive environment in an area of 2,000 square meters in a shopping center in Greater São Paulo – the founder of the hamburger shop, Renan Pizii, did not reveal the location.
The novelty will follow the same theme, with decor that celebrates Steven Spielberg’s classic about dinosaurs, which completes 30 years.
According to Pizii, the food court will be separated from the entertainment area, which were previously unified. In the new project, spaces were created in which visitors, especially children, can interact.
Among them is an amphitheater that hosts presentations that tell the story of prehistoric animals. Environments will recreate scenes from the 1990s film, such as a laboratory and the visitor center at the dinosaur park.
The main attractions are the life-size replicas of dinosaurs, such as a four-meter-tall Tyrannosaurus Rex, brought from the headquarters. The space will also feature details such as artificial plants with the smell of vegetation and speakers scattered throughout the place. There is also the replica of the car used in the film, in which the characters drive through the park.
Pizii, a fan of the franchise, created Jurassic Park Burger in partnership with the Universal studio, and had access to original material used by Stan Winston, responsible for bringing the animals to life in the first film, released in 1993.
The restaurant opened in September 2021 and soon accumulated fans and queues – on Instagram, the profile has 351,000 followers. The space in the south zone was too small for the brand, says Pizii. The previous address occupied an area of 700 square meters spread over four floors.
“We tried to listen to all the criticisms, such as parking and accessibility problems, and we are now improving in the new unit. We are also concerned with the visual part”, he says.
The menu will also be revamped. Finally, there will be an Iron Studios collectibles store, a company founded by Pizii. The restaurant is expected to open in the second half of this year.
Meanwhile, the hamburger restaurant operates via delivery, with a menu of sandwiches, portions and chocolates. Orders are made by iFood.
