This year, it is awarded to Binoche for “her extraordinary trajectory that places her as one of the most admired and recognized names in European and international cinema”. Throughout her four-decade career, Juliette Binoche has participated in dozens of films, such as “The Unbearable Lightness of Being”, “Lovers of Pont-Neuf” and “The English Patient”, for which she won the Oscar for best supporting actress. She has also been recognized with the French César, the British Bafta and acting awards at the Cannes, Berlin and Venice festivals, as well as the Donostia Prize at the San Sebastian Festival. Born in Paris in 1964, she has worked with directors such as Jean-Luc Godard, Leo Carax, Louis Malle, Krzysztof Kieslowski, Anthony Minghella and David Cronenberg.
