How has it been taking Lui Lorenzo to Ivete’s trio?
Singing with Ivete Sangalo at Salvador’s carnival has been an incredible opportunity, both for me and for the character. I’m going to live Carnival in a unique way! I have put a lot of effort into it, and being in Ivete’s trio is the result of the dedication of this work.
Is this your first time in a trio?
It’s the first time I’m going up in a trio, unlike Lui Lorenzo, who has 20 years of success and already had this opportunity. I’m anxious and excited.
Have you sung with Ivete before?
I’ve never sung with Ivete before, and I’d never thought about that possibility. Good thing I have a character that is allowing me to sing. It’s very cold in the stomach.
What is the expectation to test Lui’s popularity at Salvador’s carnival?
On the days that we record Lui Lorenzo’s concerts, the performers who participate are always very infected. He’s catchy, very popular. I’m dying to test this encounter with people. This carnival will be a watershed.
