He studied at the Manhattan School of Industrial Art in 1947 and began his work as a draftsman at the age of 19. For a decade and a half, he worked between the companies that would become Marvel and DC. In 1966, the designer began a journey of five years working alongside Stan Lee on the editions of “Amazing Spider-Man”.
