Insurance sector calls Paul Krugman for beach tennis – 02/03/2023 – Panel SA

Nobel laureate Paul Krugman is expected to participate in the major conference for the insurance sector, to be held in the second half of the year, in Rio, to discuss trends in the insurance market.

Luis Alberto Moreno, former president of the IDB (Inter-American Development Bank), is also expected at the event, which includes golf and beach tennis activities.

This year’s meeting, which will be the 38th edition of the Hemispheric Insurance Conference, will address topics such as regulatory improvement, climate change and the macroeconomic scenario.

Held every two years by Fides (Inter-American Federation of Insurance Companies), an entity represented in Brazil by CNseg, the meeting will bring together representatives of the private insurance sector from 20 countries in South America, in addition to the United States and Spain.

The conference will be held between the 24th and 26th of September.
