INSS: system down prevents data consultation – 05/22/2023 – Market

The Meu INSS website is offline this Monday morning (22) and is causing inconvenience for those who depend on the agency’s services.

In a note released this morning, Dataprev (the company responsible for the INSS IT system) explained that there was a failure during maintenance carried out on storage equipment this Sunday (21) at the Datacenter in Rio de Janeiro.

“An unscheduled shutdown of some disks occurred,” the company explained. As a result, the Meu INSS website has been offline for more than a day and users are unable to make queries through the website or the application. Services provided to the Ministry of Labor and Employment were also impacted.

Dataprev reported that the technical teams have restored all services, but the Meu INSS website is still offline. This morning, the website displayed error 500 (Internal Server Error), while the application generated the following message: “An error occurred while fetching your data”

With the flaw, users are unable to consult, for example, the 13th salary or access the income report to include data in the 2023 Income Tax return.

The query on the value of the first installment of the 13th salary was released last Friday (19). Payment will take place from this Thursday (25).

The federal government will pay the two installments of the 13th in May and June. The first will be released between May 25th and June 7th. The second installment will fall into the insured’s account between June 26th and July 7th.

The report contacted the press offices of the INSS, the Ministry of Labor and Employment, and Dataprev and is awaiting a response.

How the 13th salary of retirees and pensioners will be paid

By law, the INSS 13 is paid in two installments: one in the middle of the year and the other in November. Since 2020, however, the benefit has been anticipated for the first semester.

Payment takes place according to the final number of the benefit, without the check digit. The Christmas bonus falls into the account together with the monthly benefit of the insured person. The money falls into the account of the insured always from the end of the month of the accrual that is being paid.

In May, payment starts on the 25th for those who have a benefit number ending in 1, without considering the digit. The first to receive are beneficiaries who earn a minimum wage, which rose to R$ 1,320 on the 1st.

Then, in the first days of the following month, the release of amounts begins for those who earn above the minimum up to the INSS ceiling, of R$ 7,507.49 in 2023. Payment dates for this public range from June 1 to 7.

The decree with the anticipation was signed by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) on May 4. The measure will benefit around 30 million Brazilians, who will receive an amount of R$ 62.6 billion.
