IR Deadline The deadline for submitting the Individual Income Tax Return 2023 (referring to the base year 2022) was extended this year and runs until May 31. The delivery deadline used to be April 30th. With the extension, taxpayers will have from March 15 to the end of May to submit their documentation. According to the Revenue, the longer period is to facilitate taxpayers’ access to the pre-filled declaration. The modality has information such as income, deductions and assets filled in automatically, without the need for typing. In order to make this data available, the government explained that it needs to receive information from companies and service providers beforehand. The rules for the declaration, such as minimum income and amounts to be deducted, for example, will only be announced at the end of February.
