INSS 2023: retirees can now consult the value of the 13th – 05/19/2023 – Market

Retirees, pensioners and other beneficiaries of the INSS (National Social Security Institute) can now begin to consult the value of the first installment of the 13th, which will be paid from Thursday (25). The query can be made on the Meu INSS app or website with CPF and password.

Scheduled for Sunday (21), the consultation was brought forward. The federal government will pay the two installments of the 13th in May and June. The first will be released between May 25th and June 7th. The second installment will fall into the insured’s account between June 26th and July 7th.

By law, the INSS 13 is paid in two installments: one in the middle of the year and the other in November. Since 2020, however, the benefit has been anticipated for the first semester.

Payment takes place according to the final number of the benefit, without the check digit. The Christmas bonus falls into the account together with the monthly benefit of the insured person. The money falls into the account of the insured always from the end of the month of the accrual that is being paid.

In May, payment starts on the 25th for those who have a benefit number ending in 1, without considering the digit. The first to receive are beneficiaries who earn a minimum wage, which rose to R$ 1,320 on the 1st.

Then, in the first days of the following month, the release of amounts begins for those who earn above the minimum up to the INSS ceiling, of R$ 7,507.49 in 2023. Payment dates for this public range from June 1 to 7.

The decree with the anticipation was signed by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) on May 4. The measure will benefit around 30 million Brazilians, who will receive an amount of R$ 62.6 billion.

Who is entitled to the 13th of the INSS?

All insured persons who, in 2023, receive or have received social security benefits such as retirement, pension, aid for temporary disability (formerly sickness benefit), accident aid or imprisonment aid are entitled to the 13th of the INSS. Payment is not made to those who earn RMI (Lifetime Monthly Income) or BPC (Continued Provision Benefit).

When will the INSS 13th be paid?

The first installment of the so-called Christmas bonus was paid in advance by the Lula government and will begin to be paid this May, along with the May benefits, as per the calendar above. The second installment begins to be paid in June, referring to the month of June.

Beneficiaries will receive the 13th together with the monthly social security benefit. They receive first the insured persons entitled to a minimum wage and, later, those who earn higher amounts. In May, payment starts on the 25th and runs until June 6th.

In June, payment starts on the 26th and runs until July 7th. To know the exact day of receipt, you need to look at the final number of the benefit, without the check digit.

In general, INSS benefit payments begin at the end of the month in which the payment is being made and end at the beginning of the following month.

What is the INSS 13th payment schedule?

The INSS 13 payment schedule is the same as the monthly benefit schedule, depending on the accrual month. The May accrual will be paid at the end of May and beginning of June. The June accrual will be paid at the end of June and beginning of July.
