Benefit party featured the presentation of Ivete Sangalo, Léo Santana and Matheus Fernandes
The 2023 edition of São João da Thay, one of the most anticipated June festivities of the month, brought together great national and famous attractions for an event to enjoy and celebrate the popular culture of Maranhão. The investment by influencer Thaynara OG, 31 years old, for this year reached BRL 5 million, more than double the last edition.
In addition to promoting the region’s culture and tourism throughout Brazil, the influencer will revert her profit to Maranhão entities supported by Unicef, in which she has been an ambassador for three years. The mega festival was attended by Ivete Sangalo, Léo Santana and Matheus Fernandes, who were the attractions that marked the party, which took place this Wednesday.
On social networks, the influencer even shared a little bit of the structure and decoration of this year’s edition. “My son grew up”, said Thaynara, seeing the evolution of her party created in 2017. The event that did not take place for two years, returned in 2023 in a larger space, in the parking lot of São Luís Shopping, in São Luís. In an interview with UOL, the influencer said:
“Last year I was very insecure because I thought like this: “We are coming back from a pandemic and I don’t know how strong the event is to get sponsorship, guests and a nice line-up”. So, the investment came out of my pocket of almost BRL 2 million”. “It really hurts me to read when they think I’m doing the event to make money, when it’s the opposite. It is the moment of my career, of my trajectory, where I invest the most money in my pocket to make it happen. We have sponsors, supporters, but a lot of demand for my investment. This year will be an event that revolves around R$ 5 million”.
She also added that she has a big dream of arriving with a check of R$ 1 million at Unicef and making this donation.
“Putting São Luís on this map of major events, of major festivals to show that, yes, our city is capable of hosting major events like this. I know it involves a lot because when we increase the structure there are more expenses, but I have this big dream of arriving with a check for R$ 1 million at Unicef and making this donation”.
