Show takes place on June 30 at the Teatro Amazonas
Manaus (AM) – Teatro Amazonas will host, on June 30th, the IV edition of the show “In Concert”, a promotion by Amazonian tenor Miquéias William. The presentation will feature the participation of big names in regional music, such as Ketlen Nascimento and Ellen Fernandes, and the national attraction, tenor and gospel singer Robinson Monteiro, all accompanied by Orquestra Passione. The show takes place at 8 pm.
“In Concert” has the proposal to promote the encounter between lyrical and popular singing, opening opportunities for new talents and contributing to increase the general public’s access to classical music, as explained by the event’s creator, Miquéias William.
According to Miquéias William, the event provides the public with a different musical experience, with a mixture of different types of voices. In the show’s repertoire, he says, there will be songs like “O sole mio”, by Eduardo di Capua, “Con te partiró” and “L’abitudine”, by Andrea Bocelli, and “Amazônia”, by Ketlen Nascimento.
The show, he says, will also feature the participation of the choir Vozes da Compensa. This is a social project conceived by Miquéias and made up of people who were selected to receive musical training at no cost, a way of transmitting the culture of lyrical singing.
The choir is conducted by Maestro Everaldo Barbosa. “This is the first time that the members of the choir will perform in public, at Teatro Amazonas, which is a very important stage for classical music. So, this will be one of the highlights of this year’s ‘In Concert’”, highlighted Miquéias William.
