IBGE opens enrollment for temporary vacancies; see salaries – 07/24/2023 – Market

The IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics) announced this Monday (24) the opening of registration for a selection process with 148 temporary work vacancies in the capitals of the 26 states and the Federal District.

Opportunities are for the position of ACMAP (census survey and mapping agent). The personnel to be hired must act in actions related to the 2022 Population Census that take place after data collection, which has already been completed. The work involves cross-referencing the statistics collected in the field with the IBGE database.

According to the institute, the remuneration is BRL 3,100, and workers will also benefit from benefits such as food allowance (BRL 658), transportation allowance and pre-school aid. The prerequisite to participate in the selection is to have completed high school.

Entries are open until 23:59 (Brasília time) on August 13th. Seats are reserved for blacks and browns and people with disabilities.

The updated public notice is available on the Selecon (National Institute of Selections and Contests) website. The email address brings a field for registration. The fee is $30.

The expected duration of the contracts is up to one year, but the term can be extended for another two years, says the IBGE. The workday is 40 hours a week, eight hours a day.

Rio de Janeiro is the capital with the highest total number of vacancies: 23. São Paulo (15) and Belo Horizonte (11) come next.

The selection will be made through an objective test, of an eliminatory and classifying nature, on September 24, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm (Brasília time). The final result is scheduled for October 25th.

The assessment covers Portuguese language, mathematics and logical reasoning, ethics in public service and geography.

The ACMAP selection process is the third in a series with temporary positions already confirmed by the IBGE. The institute points out that this selection is only for actions that occur after the Census collection.

On Sunday (23), the agency closed registration for the other two selection processes: one for research and mapping agent and one for control and quality supervisor. These are functions developed in regular IBGE surveys.
