‘I want to evolve more, but I feel prepared and comfortable’

This is Gabi Martins’ second year at Marquês da Sapucaí. The singer comes as the muse of Unidos de Vila Isabel, the same school where she debuted at the Rio carnival in 2022, and the third to enter the Avenue this Monday (20).

— I was very happy with this invitation once again, to be able to experience all this again with a school I fell in love with. I want to honor the opportunity they gave me. The community always welcomes me with great respect and affection. I learned everything from the dancers, the muses and the teachers in the Vila,” she says.

The blonde, who also participated in the “BBB 20” promises to show more samba on foot after the harsh criticism in her debut at the Sambódromo last year:

— I came back from vacation this month and I’ve been dedicating each day to samba classes, bodybuilding, clothing fittings, food… Everything to be a special day for everyone involved in this carnival.

Gabi says that, initially, it was difficult to deal with what they said about her. But then overcame:

— On the Avenue, I wasn’t worried about what they would find. I wanted to prove to myself that I was capable. It was hard to face the criticism, but I learned to take it as a joke. I’m from the backlands, my hips are a little stiff, it was a challenge.

According to her, having a teacher and attending classes made a 100% difference.

— I want to evolve even more, but I’m already feeling prepared, excited and comfortable. I still can’t spoil the costume, but I guarantee it’s beautiful, see, it has a lot of shine, it’s my face and Vila’s too — says the blonde, who has been careful with physical exercises and has taken care of her diet to be in full swing. fitness on the Samba Catwalk: — I hammer every day, without fail. I do bodybuilding, an hour of cardio and more samba classes. And my diet is usually healthy. So, I follow the diet and even more avoid eating fatty foods, sweets, those things that don’t provide much nutrients.
