Faced with a situation of betrayal, it is possible to go beyond disappointment and resentment and use the moment for reflection and long-term growth, understanding the need for transparency in relationships and, therefore, the creation of an environment where people feel feel free to express their feelings, concerns, desires, thus avoiding occasions that could lead to betrayal, although it is well known that, most of the time, this is more a problem for those who betrayed, in not following through with established loyalty agreements and not be clear with your intentions.

“A theme little talked about in society is affective responsibility. It’s the movement to assume your role regarding the expectations created in a relationship. After all, it is not right to encourage a relationship, especially a monogamous one, to plan and make oaths to then have contrary attitudes and emotionally destabilize the other person. Affective responsibility needs to be the priority”,

It is important to reflect on the mistakes made, recognize the impacts they have on others and, for those who have been disappointed, observe the possible emotional dependencies and expectations that are created on the loved one.

“Any relationship, no matter how much love it has, should not be a reason to withdraw from the plans we can make for ourselves or even our self-esteem”, concludes the expert.
