Hospitals carry out joint efforts of dermatological surgeries, in Manaus

Manaus (AM) – On March 11, starting at 8 am, the Alfredo da Matta Hospital Foundation (Fuham) and the Adriano Jorge Hospital Foundation (FHAJ), institutions linked to the State Department of Health (SES-AM), will carry out a joint effort of dermatological surgeries , mostly for removal of skin cancer lesions. Fuham will participate with the team of professionals and FHAJ will lend all seven rooms in the surgical center.
The meeting that defined the date and main details of the task force was held on Monday morning (6th), with the participation of managers from both institutions. In all, about 40 patients will be treated and the main criterion for entering the list will be the severity of each case. The patients who will undergo the surgeries will be those who are already treated by the Alfredo da Matta Foundation.
According to the director-president of Fuham, dermatologist Carlos Chirano, the screening of patients will be completed in the next few days and contact will be made by the foundation itself, individually, for each person.
“We have our surgical center under renovation and we found the alternative with the partnership of Adriano Jorge, who gave in on Saturday so that we can do a big surgery effort to prioritize patients with more serious skin cancer”, informed Carlos Chirano.
The director-president of FHAJ, doctor Ayllon Menezes de Oliveira, received the Fuham team with those responsible for the sectors involved in the task force. He highlighted the partnership between two institutions that are part of the public health system.
“The units help each other with the common goal, always being able to offer a better quality of life for the patient. The Alfredo da Matta Foundation has been a partner of the Adriano Jorge Hospital Foundation for a long time and we are now going to join forces to carry out this task force”, he said.
